Description

New product introductions can be more difficult to forecast than current products due in part to new suppliers and production locations altering lead times and lack of historical sales data on similar products may not be useful. This also presents challenges from an S&OP perspective with launch dates, engineering specifying new components/only source suppliers and potential changes in standard pricing structures that requires the supply chain to handle in a different matter.

In this installment of the S&OP SIG, we will explore the challenges and best practices of member companies when it comes to new product launches. Dr. Enno Siemsen will present on best practices on how to handle new product within the S&OP process.

While this is part of the S&OP series, any company or professional with new product forecasting responsibility will find this meeting useful if they are looking for best practices and benchmarking against other members processes when it comes to new product launches.
