Description
Understanding the culture of the company and how teams interact is transformative in creating a high-functioning team. Digging into teams and leadership transforms teams from creating one successful innovation to creating ten or twelve or fifty successful innovations.
When you can match people’s preferred work styles to the different steps in your innovation process, you have a higher level of success. There are many innovation processes, but they all have the same four steps, each of which corresponds to one of the four work styles. In this highly dynamic discussion we will explore work styles of team members -- how to assess work styles, what to do once you have an understanding of each team member's style, and how to build your team over time.
What challenges have you had working on a team? How does understanding others’ style help you work together? Are you in a role that aligns with your work style? Why or why not?
Bonus Content-- Prior to the event take a free DiSC assessment to get a better understanding of your workstyle. You can even share access to this free assessment with your team. Free DiSC Assessment
After attending this meeting, you will be able to:
- Identify your work style. Consider the behaviors you tend to exhibit and the areas you excel in.
- Consider the work styles of your team members. Whose work style is similar to yours? Whose is different?
- Using what you’ve learned about work styles, consider how your team could best match people with roles that fit their work styles.
