Managing Supplier Lead-Times
Discuss successes and challenges of understanding and monitoring supplier lead-times with other UWEBC members.
- 12:00 PM
Description
Lead-times for products have fluctuated greatly in recent years, from logistics challenges, to changing suppliers (including near-shoring/re-shoring) and even new inventory positioning strategies. How are companies calculating supplier lead-time, where are they capturing this data, and how are they monitoring performance to ensure products will arrive when customers need them?
Our keynote presenter will be Dr. Rajan Suri, founder of the UW Center for Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) and author of the book, "It's About Time". We will also hear from Endries International and other member companies about how they monitor supplier lead-times from order creation through delivery.
Join us to discuss these and many related questions with other UWEBC member companies. This will be a highly interactive session!
